The Ministry of Interior

Just 500 meters from the Hotel Canova, in the beautiful setting of Piazza del Interior Ministry, the Interior Ministry established the Palace the  houses the Ministry of Interior of the Italian Government.

This body is responsible for the policy of the  Republic, the regulation of religions and cults permitted in Italy, and is a member of the Supreme Council of Defense.

The Palace of the Interior Ministry, which housed the Ministry of the Interior in 1925, was built in 1911 by Manfred Manfredi and was commissioned by Giolitti, specifically to become the seat of the government.

Officially opened in 1925, the palace consists of 5 floors and hundreds of rooms connected by a series of crossing routes.

The imposing Palace of the President has  a three-arched entrance. The interior is decorated with fine wood, marble. and stucco.
